Providing the best care for both people and animals
Hi, I'm Abi McGuinness
Human & Animal Chiropractor
MChiro, MMCA
GCC Registration no: 04313
I qualified from McTimoney College of Chiropractic in 2015 gaining a
Master’s Degree (MChiro) in Chiropractic. Upon graduation, I was awarded the Deans prize for research, sponsored by the Royal College of Chiropractors. I am registered with the General Chiropractic Council and a member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association.
Alongside McTimoney chiropractic technique, I use joint mobilisation techniques, Neuro Muscular soft tissue technique, Medical Acupuncture, and have a particular interest in pain science. I am also qualified to perform Epley Manoeuvre (the gold standard technique for the treatment of Benign Positional Paroxysmal Vertigo, also referred to as BPPV). All of these techniques, as well as exercise/self-care advice, are integrated into the treatment, where appropriate.

Continually seeking ways to achieve long term solutions to acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, I regularly attend post graduate courses to advance my knowledge and stay current in diagnosis and treatment methods.
In 2017 I undertook further study with the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (IAVC) at The Anglo European College of Chiropractic (AECC), which has enabled me to work with large and small animals. Following this I completed an Equine sports massage diploma with Equi-therapy UK in 2024. I am as passionate about relieving symptoms and restoring function in animals, as I am with people. I work with an array of both Canines and Equines. These range from retired horses to competition horses, our beloved sofa dwelling dogs, to show/working dogs.

Outside of work I enjoy various hobbies which are mostly outdoors. I can often be found out pottering in my garden or hiking across the countryside, trying to tame my unruly Whippets Hugo & Garth.
